A compassionate woman found Nokyoong and alerted Soi Dog to her heart-breaking condition. An animal rescue officer brought her to the Soi Dog hospital for urgent treatment. Nokyoong�s nails were so overgrown that in some places they curled back into her skin.

Walking must have been agony. A fungal infection and mange had destroyed her skin � it was hard, crusty, and all her fur had fallen out.

Established in 2003 in Phuket, Thailand, Soi Dog is Southeast Asia's largest organisation helping stray animals. The Gill Dalley sanctuary in Phuket is home to over 1,600 animals.
