Tigers Hyperesthesia Updates

I’m really, really thankful to have found a vet who is very committed in helping Tiger with his hyperesthesia. The vet texts every few days to find out how Tiger is getting on.

We saw the vet on 30th June 2017 and restarted on 1/2 Prochlorperazine twice a day. Tiger was still throwing fits on the average of 1-2 per day, which was better than 3-4 previously.

On 10th July, the vet advised to increase the dose slightly to 1/2 at 7am and 1 at 7pm (must be 12 hours apart). With this increase, we are again, monitoring to see if there is any improvement. If so, the vet says we might reduce the dosage again as the goal is to get the maximum benefit with the minimum dose.

Meanwhile, Tiger does come out of his tv rack more often these days and spends a few minutes at the patio. This is better than being holed up inside the tv rack all day. A few times, he even came to the kitchen to join everyone for a meal.
