Daffodils Way

Frank Sinatra’s evergreen and ever-meaningful song, “My Way”, resonates well with Daffodil and how we have decided to let the dowager empress decide what she wants (within reasonable boundaries which does not include going out of the house compound) and not interfere too much with her peace.
On certain days, she spends most of the time upstairs on the bed.
During the last few days, she has been coming downstairs a lot, which is all good. She has made no attempt to escape. What a relief!
Having breakfast with everyone else at the patio.
Helping me sew.
Spending time with Ginger.
Asking for small meals.
I’ve learnt to “understand” what she wants now. She knows how to make me understand which type of food she wants – whether it’s Cindy’s Tuna & Chicken, homecooked or Primal.
So glad there is no limping.
Daffodil appears to be as “normal” as she can be.
She cannot eat too much at one go. And she likes gravy and broth.
“Yesterday is but a dream,
Tomorrow is only a vision.
But today, well lived,
makes every yesterday a dream of happiness,
and every tomorrow a vision of hope.”
