From Dawn:

Hi KY,

Orphaned kitten (no name yet)
A female cat had been going in and out of our carpark - out to find food at the nearby flats then back in. One day, one of our security guards Mr.Chong, found her dead in our basement carpark, stomach was badly bloated. She had left behind 2 new-born kittens beside her. She must have been so desperate to feed herself in order to nurse her babies, to a stage she accidentally ate poison at the flats.

Mr.Chong started feeding the 2 kittens by syringe few times a day. One of the stray dogs came in and took one of the kittens away. So he hid the only remaining kitten in the basement carpark staircase, away from open danger. He got an old milk bottle to store water, lil containers to eat and drink from, wet and dry biscuits, and made a sleeping box with a lil blanket. He kept and fed her there safely for 3 weeks now.

When I found Sugar an adopter (Dianne), I asked if she could please take in this orphaned kitten as well. They would be happier and healthier to have each other when left at home alone. And since they would be busy playing with each other most of the time, there would be minimal damage done to the surroundings during their kitten years. And the best time to have 2 are when they are still kittens and can get along with anyone.

Dianne said "Yes!"...but she needed some time to get set things up first (cage, food, kitty litter etc). Anyhow, last night, Dianne and I I went down to the basement staircase to visit the orphaned kitten for the 2nd time. Later in the night, Dianne couldn't sleep, thinking about the kitten alone and cold in the quiet, stuffy staircase, so she went down in the middle of the night and took the kitten home...in a box for now.
We've informed Mr.Chong of last night's abduction.

Sugar (2 mth old partially blind cat-flu kitten fr SS2 streets)
Sugar is one fortunate kitten - not only she's going to survive cat-flu, she's also going to get her full vision back and she's got a beatiful hearted adopter and a new friend waiting for the day she's getting discharged...ie Sugar's got a home waiting for her! Thank God.
It's always beautiful to know that you've got a home waiting for you, and every human and animal deserves that.

Pelangi Flat strays (2 mth old partially blind cat-flu kitten fr SS2 streets)
There's a bit of hick-ups, Naim's father is not aware that we are trying to spay the cats as he is still against it, so he had let the 2 cats back out when Naim couldn't bring them to work the nxt day. So Naim will have to catch them again. I am also wanting to talk to the Pusat Kucing's malay boss again on the seriousness of this matter, and lay down the process (pymts, etc...) properly.

Thanks!

Best regards,Dawn Tan
