Cow Portraits

Despite the numerous frightening, suspenseful and requiring-visits-for-tetanus-jabs episodes written about Cow in the last 11 years, I have never doubted that Cow has a good heart. He is the most empathetic cat we have and if I’m sad, he’s the first to know and to comfort me.

Cow had petting aggression previously. The longest you could pat him is 3 seconds.

It could be caused by static electricity or if she is a kitten, just your cat being playful. But some cats just don’t tolerate a lot ofpetting. Petting can over stimulate the receptors where fur meets cat and irritate your cat’s skin causing petting induced aggression.

Make no mistake about that. THREE SECONDS is all you get. We think it’s because he missed out on his childhood. He took it upon himself to look after Bunny and Pole (they were rescued at 1 day old, abandoned by the roadside), then he had to look after Tiger and it never really stopped.

But lately, Cow has really mellowed down.

Really.

You can pat him for a few minutes now. Continuously. Without needing to rush to a dr’s for a tetanus jab.

A super manja cat with a previous track record of petting aggression!
