MOM & PUPS TAKE COVER HERE UNTIL HERO ARRIVES

Along a remote stretch of road, there stands a single makeshift “doghouse”. It was erected by a local man who wanted to do something for the dogs who are often dumped in this location. Most recently, the box became home to a young mother dog and her puppies who were driven out there and left behind as their “family” drove down the road without looking back.

“First-time mum, Lilly was unaware of the situation,” Bosnian rescuer Rusmira Rodjakovic. “Lost and confused, she trusted me immediately. Leaving this family wasn’t an option. I had to take them somewhere safe. I took them home with me.”

After months of TLC, Lilly is readying to travel to her new home abroad and three of the pups have already found new homes.
