9.12pm Daffi Is Very Tired
Tweet |
The excitement must have worn off and Daffodil slept all afternoon.
By evening, she was still very tired and could barely prop herself up. Her legs were wobbly as she tried to stand.
It is REALLY fortunate her Calico pride finally allowed her to come down from the roof this morning.
THREE days without food and water and being on the roof.
I am not even sure if it was she who ate the kibble on Saturday (bowl found empty on Sunday morning). It could very well have been G-Cuz. Perhaps it was Daffi who ate, but on Monday, it was definitely G-Cuz because I saw him there. Daffi had abandoned that post by then because Heidi, Tabs and possibly G-Cuz “invaded” it.
I have been giving her some wetfood every few hours.
As you can see from the photo, she couldn’t even get up to eat.
She has lost some weight too. Well, three days without food and water.
I finally cleaned off that patch of white paint just now. Along with it, some scab came out as well. I had to apply some iodine on it after that. Daffi protested.
Daffi, if you don’t mind some advice, please do not do this ever again.
17 years old is equivalent to 84 years old (for humans).
Still cannot get up to eat.
Luckily her appetite is still there and she is able to eat on her own and does not need to be force-fed.
I know what’s most suitable for her right now – Bioresis. It not only boosts immunity, but will also give her strength and energy and if the tumour is infected in any way, Bioresis would take care of that as well.
But a promise is a promise. We said we’d take a break from medication. We’ve had a break of 4 days now, including today.
We’ll let “food be thy medicine” for today. I did add wheatgrass powder to all her food today. She licked a lot of the broth, so that’s good. She needs water, but refuses to drink plain water. I will check her for dehydration afterwards.
Husband came back this evening and related his experience up at the window this morning (when I was calling from the road to guide Daffi back). He did put the bowl of food out of the window (on the roof) and yes, Daffi came to the window to eat. But when he slowly pulled the bowl neared towards the window sill, hoping she would come nearer and he would be able to pull her in, Daffi turned away and walked off.
Calico pride.
What to do?
I just hope she will regain some energy by tomorrow.
No adventures for tonight, please. Anyway, everywhere is locked, Daffi-proof (I hope!).
