After meeting up with Mary and the mangy cat, my next stop was to visit Ben and Burt. Have been wanting to visit them, but this week has been extremely hectic.
Burt is doing quite well, but there is one stubborn spot on the nose which still has not healed. The vet says he isn't doing as well as some other cats, though. But we'll just have to stick with it, some cats may need a longer time to respond to the medication. Or some spots may be more stubborn than others. The rest of his sporo spots have healed. He had a bout of diarrhoea too, but is now alright. Luckily he was at the vet's, or else Norshidah's aged mother would not have been able to handle him at all. Ben is healing very well. He has his pretty nasty wound on the back of his neck. Unfortunately, it healed, but he scratched it and it became bad again. An e-collar is not possible as it is right there where the collar would be. So, Ben has to wear socks. See his red socks? Initially, the vet thought he scratched with his back legs, but no, the vet caught him doing it with his front paws! Hence, socks it is!
Ben can be discharged soon.
PetFinder.my is helping Norshidah with Burt's bill for now. If Burt's bill escalates further, we will subsidise as well.
We are helping with Ben's bill. Today, we paid RM200 as a subsidy for Ben.
The vet has very thoughtfully offered a discount for Norshidah.
