I've been dealing (and living!) with a major cat-spraying problem ever since I began fostering kittens and Cow & Bunny had to make their presence smelt!
I've tried many kinds of recommended treatments including commercial sprays but none have been able to conquer Cow & Bunny incessant and insistent spraying.
Yesterday, Amy recommended that I try this...
From what I understand, it breaks down existing urine stains. What's best about it is that it's 100% biodegradable and is bio-enzymatic.
So, all night, I sprayed Tulipspet at the various favourite marking spots of Cow & Bunny, which is practically many parts of the wall and furniture. It worked in that after a while, I saw yellow urine streaking down - I assume this is the old stains (which I could not remove by wiping) breaking down.
I had already ordered Feliway from Amy and it had arrived, but Amy recommended that I used this first. Apparently, one of her customers used it and her cats stopped spraying! Well yes, many say that about many products but I've tried many and these products that work on other cats, simply do not work on Cow & Bunny. We're dealing with two extremely strong-willed cats here....
True enough, Tulipspet did not prevent Cow from spraying BUT it does what it claims to do - breaks down old stains. That's good, too.
Next, I'd probably try the Feliway. This product is supposed to give out happy hormones that would help stress-related problems.
Yes, we think Cow is highly stressed. We also think it's a personality self-induced stress.
Meanwhile, the Blueys are now up and playing all over the house. They had spent the evening sleeping soundly when it rained. Now, they are up!
Yes, we are up....
Playtime!!
Anything is a toy, and anywhere is their playground.
Uncle Bobby is fast asleep...
