I wonder if Daffodil read my mind…because this morning, she seemed to have relaxed a lot on her defiance.
Of course she went out last night, as expected.
But she came back on her own, had breakfast with everyone and would you believe it, she brought Ginger upstairs to the bedroom and both waited outside the bathroom door for me.
Of course I praised her and told her she could live upstairs again. Yes, please do.
And as though he could read Daffodil’s mind, Vincent graciously moved downstairs to the kitchen and took up residence at the nook behind the rice cooker.
Vincent, you are undoubtedly, the best!
Looks like Vincent is helping me. What a good boy!
Ginger was so happy.
Then, I went to work, and I was told that Daffodil jumped again. Oh well…
When I came home, Daffodil came back on her own.
She stayed in the house for a few hours, then off she went again…
She realised I was watching her, with the camera, so she looked and then…
…she turned back.
And went back to the house!
Wow! Are we finally achieving something here?
But no…
She went out again, and this time, she jumped.
I took a video too (downloading is a bit slow tonight, so I won’t be posting it). And here’s what’s worrying, she slipped when she reached the top. But very quickly, she managed to grab hold of the netting and made her way up again.
Sigh…
That’s when I decided that she shouldn’t be making these escape stunts anymore. Daffodil is 17 years old this year and all this climbing can be strenuous for her.
We went out and ordered the polycarbonate sheets. It will only be ready tomorrow. We’ll tie it up ourselves.
Ginger felt lonely again, so I had to let him into Bunny’s Place to distract him.
Cow wasn’t too accommodating this time – he growled at poor Ginger.
Daffodil is back now.
Till tomorrow then…
Meanwhile, Zurik has got himself all settled in the porch. He has taken up residence in the shoe rack and is quite happy there. We believe Zurik has guerilla warfare training and is street-smart enough to stay safe.
Daffodil probably has it too, but she is growing old and we shouldn’t take the risk and let her have her way (to climb and roam).
