It’s finally ready….and we installed it ourselves.
It’s up!!
We just used S-hooks to hook the two sheets up.
It’s 38cm in height and can be adjusted according to Daffodil’s reach. At the moment, it’s somewhere four-fifths’ way up.
However…
When I measured the width, I had forgotten to take into account that someone as smart and resourceful as Daffodil can also use these bolts as tiny stepping stones. Pole did that 6 years ago. I hadn’t realised that, so the present cut polycarb sheets cannot cover the bolts at both ends. Sigh…dumb humans, really.
She can also use Vincent’s table and the bolts to scale the fence at the extreme side, if she really wants to. But we can fix this by (1) using a longer sheet or (2) by removing Vincent’s table and putting it elsewhere, and growing palms on this spot.
Leaving no stone unturned.
These bolts can be used as stepping stones.
Pole would say, “Piece of cake.”
Anyway, let’s just try this out first.
And after we put it up, we went all over the house looking for Daffodil.
Goodness…where is she???
Don’t tell me while we were fixing this, she found another way to escape???
And finally, I found her…
On the blanket, on our bed.
I mean, just HOW smart is she, right?
She hasn’t done this for months.
17 years for cats and dogs is equivalent to 84 years in humans.
Ever heard of the saying: With age comes wisdom?
