After yesterday’s unsuccessful jump (evidenced only by the sound I heard and Daffodil being at Stargate2), Daffodil went upstairs and slept for hours.
I guess it tires her out a lot, so really, we are very keen to stop her from jumping. But how?
Hopefully, she will quickly learn that she should not jump anymore.
If any of the PatioCats wants to go out to the porch or even to the playground, we will take them, under supervision, but the only problem is, it’s difficult to get them back. It’s only possible with Ginger, though. Heidi and Daffodil (the two dames) have this feline pride and very strong will. In Heidi’s case, it’s more of being playful – she wants to play catch. And we cannot catch her!!
Vincent doesn’t seem interested in going out anymore. He seems to be very happy staying indoors (“at long last, I have a home!”). Vincent wanted to have a home all this while, but Ginger always bullied him. Vincent also felt obliged to protect our house compound but he failed with Zurik. Poor Vincent battled for a year, but Zurik won. After that, Vincent exiled himself to the neighbour’s roof. Now, finally, Vincent can stay indoors, if Stargate2 has achieved anything positive, this is one of them.
When Daffodil woke up and came downstairs, she did not make anymore attempts to jump.
A pep talk on “Why jump?”.
Snack time.
After breakfast this morning, I think Daffodil made another attempt – I heard the sound of the polycarb hitting against the gate again. She didn’t manage to jump out. I guess (I hope!) that I’ve placed the polycarb at the right level now.
Fingers crossed.
