You probably remember this bed which Jia-Wen bought from Bangkok, for the cats.
Everyone loves it, and by “everyone”, it’s the entitled “everyone” – the Cows ONLY. Tabs and Indy are not in the “entitled” list.
So, Jia-Wen bought another three beds back, also from Bangkok. Among the three, only one “passed” the test. The purple bed, which is almost exactly the same as this (now called) Bunny Bed.
And to be fair, we gave this second batch of beds to the PatioCats (Tabs and Tiger have joined them as well, now that Stargate2 is up). Only the purple bed was accepted. I’ve given the other two to my taiji sifu as she too is a cat rescuer.
Daffodil took the purple bed and loved it, until….someone pee-ed on it.
Oh dear…
I washed it as thoroughly as I could, but the damage was irreparable (by Calico standards).
Note: A cat’s sense of smell is 40 times stronger than that of a human’s.
Once pee-ed on, it’s a gonner.
So, rather than waste it, I thought I’d try it with the InsideCats.
Bunny didn’t mind it!
And Cow loves it too!
I guess they themselves are “sprayers”, so what’s a little leftover pee smell to them, right?
But we did buy two new plastic trays as beds for the PatioCats.
This is one of them.
Both were meant for Heidi and Daffodil so they were smallish.
And this is the result.
Cardboard – 1; Plastic – 0. Cans – tolerable.
