I was living peacefully on the streets of Thailand when some people near my territory wanted to get rid of me. A kind man brought me to Soi Dog after he saw me being chased and overheard people say there were plans to poison me.

My name is Aro.

The trauma of that near-death experience haunts me to this day. Deep down, the fear of being hurt remains. This means I don’t readily trust people.

Soi Dog Foundation
