UPDATES ON GRACIE, THE ALLEGEDLY ABANDONED COCKER SPANIEL
Gracie was found allegedly abandoned at the void deck at Block 1 Maude Road in late February 2017.
When we brought her back to the SPCA, we found that she was so matted that the condition constricted her movements. She was also blind in one eye, had cuts on her face and suffered from severe dental disease. The amount of matted fur removed was equivalent to, if not more, than the size of the dog.
We sent her to our volunteer groomer, who painstakingly cleaned Gracie up.
With Gracies fresh look, she could walk again, was in better spirits and began opening up and interacting more with our staff.
Having spent considerable time and effort bonding with Gracie over her grooming session, the volunteer groomer then kindly came forward to foster Gracie.
Gracie is currently with her fosterer and she gets along well with the other dogs in the home. Her appetite is good despite losing some decayed teeth and she goes for short walks around the estate.
Our appeal for information on Gracies case has so far not produced any leads.
If you would like to adopt Gracie, do have a read of the adoption details at http://spca.org.sg/services_adoption_information.asp prior to emailing us at enquiries@spca.org.sg.
