CAN YOU LIGHT UP YOUR LIFE? MY NAME IS SUN BRIGHT AND IVE BEEN LIVING IN THE SHELTER FOR 5 YEARS ALREADY! PLEASE ADOPT ME!

Please EMAIL ALL QUESTIONS to dana@soidog.org

I am a handsome boy with a big grin – my name reflects my personality as I am always bright and sunny! I run up to visitors to my enclosure to welcome them affectionately and enthusiastically. I also let everyone know when dogs walk past as I am intelligent, bright and alert.

Shelter life is all I have ever known as the people here think I was only about 2 months old when I arrived at the Soi Dog shelter in Phuket, Thailand. I was a terrified little boy as I didnt understand what was happening when I was dumped at a local vet clinic over 5 years ago. Some of the older dogs took me under their wing and helped me in the early days.

I am over 5 years old now and I really enjoy going for walks but only get a short time as there are so many other dogs to walk. I yearn for hour long walks to burn some of my energy and I would love to run alongside a human. I am loving and affectionate with the volunteers who say that I am a cuddler!

Like many dogs who have grown up in a shelter I have never experienced a home environment or been exposed to different things during sensitive periods in my development. As a result I sometimes have a hard time understanding what is being asked of me. I would do better in a home on my own and need someone who can teach me some manners and show me how to behave properly when we go for walks. Maybe we can go to dog behaviour classes together?

I have never known anything other than shelter life and would really like to experience new things in the world outside. If you already have cats living in your home we should get along fine but I would prefer to be your only dog!

A very kind person who cannot adopt me has donated some funds for my transportation costs to make it easier for me to get to you! I hear there are flight volunteers available for the USA, UK, EU and Canada! Do I sound like a good fit for you?

If so please EMAIL ALL QUESTIONS to dana@soidog.org
