FROM MISERABLE TO THRIVING!

When Woodpecker came to Soi Dog, he was fighting an eye wound that was massively infected with maggots and his fur was filthy and matted. A year ago, Woodpecker travelled to Canada and was adopted by Lori and her family, who call him Woody.

Lori says he does have a little attitude and shared this endearing example:

“You do know you have displeased him with that look in his eyes. For example, I come home from getting groceries and he has been with my husband and daughter; I open the door and he yells at me, I get one pet and he runs to them to be petted and gives me the LOOK. It’s really quite cute.”

Woody welcomes pets from children on his walks, which he likes to take very leisurely, stopping to sniff every shrub, light post, and blade of grass.

Lori says, “We love him with all our hearts.”
