I SURVIVED A KNIFE ATTACK! NOW IM LOOKING FOR A FOREVER HOME – PLEASE EMAIL ALL QUESTIONS TO LOU@SOIDOG.ORG.

My name is Charlie Peter and I will never forget the day I arrived at the Soi Dog shelter, just over two years ago. I was only three years old at the time and had grown up on the streets of Phuket, Thailand. I spent all those years trying to survive, struggling to find food, water and shelter every day.

One day, my luck simply ran out. I was cruelly attacked with a knife! The attack caused me unimaginable pain and trauma, and resulted in a horrific wound to my eye. Luckily I was given the treatment I needed at the Soi Dog shelter and my eye was saved.

Over the last few years I have been cared for and given a safe place to live, but what I yearn for is a forever home to call my own. If you would like to adopt me, please EMAIL Lou@soidog.org today.

It has taken me a long time to learn to trust people again, but I have come to realise that not all humans are bad. In my enclosure I can be quite shy, but I am finding it hard to resist approaching the people that visit my enclosure to gently ask them to take me for a walk. That is when I am most relaxed. I love to get out in the open air, explore new surroundings and take the time to stretch my legs as I take in all the sights and sounds. The sun on my soft fur warms me and fills my heart with joy.

Living in a home will be a big step for me. I know it will take me some time to settle and trust that I am safe. I am 5 years old now and have never experienced a soft bed, toys, furniture or even the sound of the kettle boiling. Therefore, I am looking for a peaceful and quiet home with few visitors. Ideally I would like to be the only pet but perhaps a soft, calm companion would be good for me. I am looking for a place surrounded by lots of countryside as I love wide open spaces and a quiet environment.

I need an owner who will love and care for me, someone who will understand that my past experiences have had an impact on me. I may not be the cuddliest dog, but I promise to be loving and loyal to you for the rest of my life if you show me the kindness I am longing for. Perhaps youre the one who can teach me how to love again?

Soi Dogs regularly travel to the UK, USA, Canada and Europe and I would love to join you there if you give me the chance to find happiness with a family I can finally call my own.

Please EMAIL all questions to Lou@soidog.org. I hope to meet you soon.
