When the vets shaved gently around the wound, they discovered it was actually much worse than it first appeared: Natsuo had a large abscess. He was given pain relief, medication, and an IV to keep him hydrated. Natsuo required a lot of care. At first, he was fed by hand. His deep wound needed constant monitoring and cleaning.
