Rosie Eats Wetfood (Day 15)
Tweet | ![]() |
After her first breakfast of Go! kibble and dry Primal this morning at 5.30am, Rosie went back upstairs to sleep with my husband.
Then, just now, at about 8am, she came down with him and went to the kitchen to ask for food again.
So, I quickly gave her the Go! that she likes – Trout. And sneaked in some Primal.
But Rosie kept nudging at the Monge box. She has done this before many times, but when I offered wetfood, she would just sniff at it, look at me and walk away.
I thought this time wouldn’t be any different, but then, just do it, right? You’ll never know…
So I opened a can of Monge and offered it.
Rosie ate it!
Yes, she was eating Monge. This is the first time she is willing to eat wetfood since we started treatment.
Then, she looked up again.
There’s something else that she wants.
Ciao! It must be Ciao! I have been giving her Ciao for the past few days and this is the one food that she takes willingly when force-fed. Funny, that sentence sounded wrong – “willingly” and “force-fed”? Never mind, you know what I mean.
So I squirted some Ciao onto the Monge.
Yes, I read it right…Rosie wanted Ciao.
So yes, Rosie ate wetfood this morning!
Well, she didn’t finish all of this, but she did eat. On her own, too. No coercing.
Life-savers!
