Rosie (Day 11)

Rosie ate THREE willing meals today – but all kibble only.
She’s the kibble queen, so I let her eat whatever she wants.
In between, I force-fed some wetfood but only a little bit so that she doesn’t get too angry. The vet did stress that we should not make her angry as that would be detrimental to her recovery.
Rosie urinated on my bed last night. Guess she only uses the litter box if she’s in the cage, so we opened up the bigger cage late last night and put her into it. We also put a safe house inside (the cardboard box) and she seemed happy with it.
This morning she ate kibbles on her own. I offered both – wet and dry – she chose only the dry.
By lunch time, I had already got three flavours of Go! for her, so that we can have some variety. She loved the Go! Chicken and ate quite happily. It’s something new.
The vet said it’s common for cats to be “fussy”, especially when they have liver problems. One day they’ll like a certain food and the next day, they would just turn their noses up and walk away. That’s normal for cats.
We call it “fussy” and “finicky”. They call it “Hey, I’m being a cat!”.
Dinner with mum and Heidi. Still okay with the Go! Chicken.
Rosie ate hungrily too, though not too much.
We hope that her willingness to eat is a good sign.
One day at a time…
An update:
Rosie asked for supper!
She seems to like Go! Chicken!
This makes it FOUR willing meals for today!!
