Rosie (Day 14)

We let Rosie roam freely in the house last night (instead of putting her into the cage). We had to close all the downstairs windows and sleep with our bedroom doors closed.
This morning, when I woke up, Rosie came all the way up the stairs to greet me. Then she followed me down and went to the kitchen, excitedly waiting for food.
The “improvement” today is that she was willing to eat dry Primal with her Go! kibble.
Still unwilling to eat wetfood.
But at least with Primal, I’m assured she is getting better nutrition.
Rosie looked around and rubbed her face onto the Monge and Cindy boxes, but when I offered, she didn’t want any of them.
I even bought Ciao Cat Treats (it’s Japan’s No. 1 brand of cat treats – tuna and chicken paste), especially suitable for convalescing cats who need liquid diet. Rosie won’t eat it by herself, but it’s very easy to force-feed with this liquid diet.
By the way, Ciao is from Avant Pet and we are selling it to raise funds. It’s RM8.50 per pack of 4. Courier charges apply. It comes in many flavours.
Then, Rosie wanted to go out to the patio when everyone else had their breakfast. I felt sorry for her, looking through the door, so I carried her out to sit at the patio while everyone else ate. Even offered her a bowl, but she didn’t want any.
Later, we brought her out for some sun.
On the harness, of course.
Just cannot risk her running away and not coming back.
Of course Rosie refused to move, but again, a slight improvement today is that she is willing to at least sit up instead of just lying down.
Bunny posed a threat, though.
Back to the patio.
We decided to open up the other cage (without tiers) and let her have another “room” outside at the patio so that she can get some fresh air and some sun.
So, Rosie has two cages now, as well as the whole house to roam around (with the windows closed). I’ve ordered the “mosquito” netting (stainless steel netting, sliding type). It will take more than a week to be ready. Once that is ready, we can at least open the windows and have more ventilation while Rosie can roam inside the house.
Then, Tabs and Tiger can come out too.
Indy…maybe. But he’s been grounded since the last time when he made a bee-line for the roof and we had trouble getting him back.
