Event reports and images are arriving daily and I've already started the 'Overview of World Animal Day 2011'. If you go to the home page, I've added three links to Africa, Asia and Europe (others to follow soon), and will be adding events most days for the next few weeks.
When the website was launched in 2003, we were able to capture most of the media coverage for publication on the website. However, now it's very different, media coverage around the world this year has far exceeded our expectations - which is wonderful of course! From this year onwards, we will include media coverage if pdf. files or weblinks are sent to us.
More good news. We will have a new website soon which will be interactive and allow you to add your own event information prior to 4 October, and update it with a report and images once your event is over.
Even more good news. As a result of several radio talk shows I conducted on World Animal Day on several continents, we will soon have an Ambassador in Malta, Sweden, Zimbabwe and possibly Spain and Chile. We will also have a second Ambassador in the UK.
I'll be in touch again soon but, in the meantime, please send me your report and images if you haven't done so already. Many thanks.
Kind regards
Project Manager, World Animal Day
