$1,000 REWARD

Today marks the start of the enhanced pet dog licensing measures http://www.todayonline.com/singapore/new-pet-dog-licensing-rules-kick-march-1-ava and we hope that with the improved traceability of pet dogs in Singapore, cases such as the one below can be a thing of the past.

On Wednesday, 22 February 2017, we received a call from a member of the public that a Cocker Spaniel with a brown harness was left unattended at Block 1 Maude Road. She was unable to walk due to the extent of her matted fur, is blind in one eye, and has severe dental disease. It appears that she was severely neglected before possibly being abandoned. The amount of matted fur removed was equivalent to, if not more, than the size of the dog.

We are offering a $1,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the person/s responsible for this act. Anyone with information in relation to this case can call our 24-hour hotline at 6287 5355 (ext. 9), or e-mail inspector@spca.org.sg. Information provided will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
