Rosies Partial Blood Test Results
Tweet |
We went to visit Rosie this evening.
Rosie is FIV+. That’s something we didn’t know because she had not been tested earlier.
The vet said she has been really good and well-behaved, obediently taking all her medicines and supplements. The vet started her on Doxycycline and will add Baytril this evening. So, two antibiotics.
Rosie is also on many liver supplements.
The vet called the lab while we were there and managed to obtain part of the blood test results. The hemotology is “okay”, nothing alarming. The kidney readings were fine too.
The only thing alarming was two of the liver readings, which points towards a high possibility of “primary liver injury”. This injury could also be due to an infection, which leads to inflammation (hence, the enlarged and hard liver) and also the jaundice.
Rosie is on drips, but still has no appetite to eat on her own. The vet force-fed her some ID (nothing oily at this moment).
Upon the advice of the vet, it is better for Rosie to stay on drips overnight so Rosie will stay the night.
Meanwhile, we pray the medicines and supplements will help her recover.
Get well soon, Rosie.
We will see you tomorrow.
Thank you, dear friends, for your kind wishes for Rosie.
