My Name Is Anchali. Please ADOPT Me!

IT TAKES A LONG TIME TO BECOME THIS SWEET. Will you please ADOPT an older lady like me?

Please email all questions to inga@soidog.org! If you cant adopt me, please SHARE my story!

My name is Anchali. Im a gentle girl aged around 10 and a half years old, and I really hope you can adopt me. I have a fluffy appearance and my fur is strikingly soft. I love pats and getting brushed.

I lived on the tough streets of Phuket, Thailand for most of my life. I managed to survive by hanging out next to markets and shops, eating scraps of food that passers by left behind. As I got older my eyes got sore and I had many itchy ticks. Because of my appearance the shop owners didnt want me around anymore, as they claimed I was bad for business. When the shop owners threatened to abandon me in a place far away, Soi Dog took me in for safety.

The doctors here say that I suffer from a condition called dry eye, which means I just need eye drops twice a day. Im so used to this now, I dont make a fuss at all. I also have a mild degenerative joint disease. I am not in pain at the moment though but I might need joint supplements and pain medication in the future.

However I certainly dont let these things bring me down. I love life! I love the people in my life and I love walkies. I am one of the first dogs to greet the volunteers at the gate in the morning. I am good on the lead and I walk with the calm confidence of an older dog.

Id be lovely as an only dog but I also wouldnt mind sharing my home with well-mannered, middle aged or older dogs. I can also be placed with cats.

Do you have space in your heart and your home for a gentle lady like me? I would happily travel to the UK, Europe, the USA or Canada for the right home. Please email inga@soidog.org to find out how you can adopt me. If you cant give me a forever home, please SHARE my story!
