Insufficient Postage The Story Continues

For those who might have missed the above post, yesterday, we received a note from Pos Msia saying that there is a mail with insufficient postage waiting for our collection (of course we have to pay a fine for it) at the post depot.
I’ve had quite a few episodes of receiving mails with insufficient postage where the mails would be delivered, stamped “T” and we would have to pay a fine for it. The applicants would be informed and they don’t even bother to say a word of “sorry”, which is very off-putting and distasteful. It is good enough that despite us having to pay a fine, we still pay you the full aid and you don’t even bother to say sorry for putting insufficient stamps.
So this time, I decided I shall not go and collect the errant mail.
But on hindsight, I decided I would go this morning, so we drove to the depot. But would you believe it, the depot was closed (I think perhaps, they close on the first Saturday of the month, though this wasn’t stated on the note).
The note said collection is between 27th Jan and 5th Feb, after which the mail will be returned to the sender.
I also looked at all pending cases and have started contacting the applicants to ask if anyone posted before 27th Jan using ordinary post with insufficient stamps (please note: 60 sen is not enough these days, please put 80 sen to be on the safe side – there I go again, me, the broken tape recorder). So far, I still do not know who the sender is.
But I have done my part. We do want to help, but please extend us the courtesy of doing your part too (to whom it may concern).
