THE FACE THAT BROKE OUR HEARTS

He sat before us, scared, confused, and in agony. He is about five years of age and was picked up from the street after we received reports of a dog whose face was swollen and who had a severely infected wound on his right ear. His name is Urk.

These are the animals that need you most. Will you help? Please visit https://ert.soidog.org/ so that suffering dogs like this can receive life-saving medical care and a second chance at life. This simply cannot happen without you.

On examination, our vets discovered that Urk’s ear was inflamed and absolutely infested with maggots. He was in so much pain that he had to be mildly sedated in order for the vets to get to work removing the maggots one by one and then cleaning out the ear. We will never know what happened to Urk that has caused him this much suffering.

But thanks to people like you, he is now getting the medical treatment he desperately needed. He is on pain relief and antibiotics for the infection and, despite all he has been through, he is still one of the lucky ones. With so many others still suffering, will you please join our Emergency Response Team of animal lovers, funding vital medical treatment for sick and injured street animals that have nobody to help them?

Urk is typical of the cases we deal with routinely. These animals simply have no hope without you. There is no government funding, no other source of help. It is just YOU. Please go to https://ert.soidog.org/ to commit to a small monthly gift which will save countless dogs and cats each year and give them a second chance at life.

Thank you.
