DOG RESCUES IN DEADLY COLD …

We are managing a flurry of dangerous situations tonight. A cold front bringing -20 temperatures is headed for Romania,Bulgaria and Bosnia. In fact, one of the shelters in Bosnia suffered a fire last week. Although all the dogs are unharmed, the shelter caretaker’s home has been badly damaged. She’s feeling quite alone tonight and without hope, but we hope that perhaps together we can turn things around.

Donations tonight are needed for:

1. Repairs at the fire damaged shelter

2. Dog food to provide solid meals to dogs at public dog pounds where the dogs are given only moldy, stale bread

3. Boarding (pension) costs for dogs being rescued off the street tonight to get them inside before the bitter cold arrives

“I’m terrified for all animals, especially for dogs who live on the street,” Romanian rescuer Norica Prigoana said to us moments ago.

While we can’t change the weather, we can change the fate of so many animals who must endure it. If you can help, we would be so grateful and please accept our DEEPEST THANKS on behalf of the animals.
