Today, Mun Yee (the one in the centre) would help me out in the morning as I had to deliver a talk at the Bandar Utama Buddhist Society (BUBS). But I was there are 8am with the day's "goods" and to set up the booth.  Mun Yee also enlisted the help of Wendy, his cousin-in-law. We had a surprise "drop-in" by Chee Onn, our Gold tshirt designer and the one who finalised the Yellow Speak Up tshirt for me. Chee Onn and his friend, Daniel, help us a lot with the artwork that we need for our buntings, tshirts and brochures.

Nandhini brought Mimi and Kiki for adoption.

By 8.45am, I had to leave for BUBS.

 At BUBS.
Today I talked about John Lennon's classic top hit, which has remained a classic up till now. If we want to, everything and anything can be a spiritual learning experience, including reflecting on the lyrics of a song. This is what I do every weekend, when I'm not at the vet's!

Talk over, after 1 1/2 hours....

My favourite little girl from BUBS, Ashley Yap, who'll always come around with her mum to tell me about her rabbits. This time, it's about Brownie, her supposedly female rabbit, who turned out to be male when they sent Brownie for spaying! But Brownie has a girl's face, she said. Ashley has read all my books and knows every single character in the stories. Her favourite seems to be Indy!

Then it's back to the booth, and Mun Yee was in total control of everything and had everyone in stitches as well. I told him I should appoint him as our permanent sales manager. He's good. Chung Kai and Wan Zhen had also come round to help, and Mun Yee had cleverly assigned jobs for everyone - marketing, stock-keeper, banker. We had a good system going...now, why hadn't I thought of that?

After lunch, Terry came round, and Mun Yee left. Earlier, Nandhini, Wendy, Chung Kai and Wan Zhen had already left. So, it was just Terry and me, to man the booth till closing. Today, it got really hot and we were baked by mid-afternoon.

Two ladies whom I've met at the Pet Boarding Cruelty Case press conference came round to say hello. They did not know what AnimalCare was about or the services we offered. As it turned out, both are cat feeders and they need spay-neuter help. I've offered our help.

A little boy buying our tshirt.

Er..he wears a size bigger than mine!

By mid-afternoon, my husband dropped in, so he took these photographs.

In these two days, lots of the visitors were my blog readers, people whom I've never met. It was really nice making so many new friends. Thank you very much for dropping by. Many asked about the Blueys, and Indy too.

The weather was really good (= hot!).

Quite a number of people had written to me asking where they could view the tshirts.
I gave them a list of our events and many turned up this weekend.

This is Bern Chee and her husband. Both are also my blog readers, and we've helped Bern with the spay-neuter of her rescues. Bern and hubby were the ones who fostered Panda, one of the Pet Boarding Cruelty Case rescues who was brought to our vet that fateful evening. What a small world, right?

Bern and hubby bought our tshirts today and put it on so that we could have a photograph. Isn't that incredibly sweet of them?

All in, we sold a record-breaking number of tshirts in these two days. We'd like to thank everyone who had come by to support us.  I now have so many new friends; I've also finally met those whom I've corresponded with all this while. Familiar email names now have a face...that's really nice.

We'd like to thank Petster and PetFinder.my for organising this fantastic event and the participating vendors who gave us dogfood towards the end of the day. Our share will be given to Mr Low, the dog-feeder in North Port.

My personal thanks go to all our helpers for this 2-day event: Terry, Nandhini, Aaron, Mun Yee, Winnie, Chung Kai, Wan Zhen, and Wendy.

Thank you, everyone.  Hope to see you all again....real soon.

And a piece of very good news...Mimi and Kiki got adopted!

The adopter went over to Nandhini's later to collect them.
