ACRES has been speaking for a wide group of captive animals over the years. From elephants in captivity who are deprived of their spatial and socialisation needs, to dolphins who are being forced to become an entertainment tool for humans, we aim to inform people about the REAL education that nature has always been offering and end the cruelty behind the captive animal industry. We are thankful to know that voices for the animals have been growing increasingly as generations become more animal-conscious. More people, especially youths, are taking interest in the work of animal welfare/rights organisations and playing an active part to contribute.

ACRES (Animal Concerns Research & Education Society) is a pioneering Singapore-based charity and Institution of Public Character, founded by Singaporeans in 2001 with the aim of promoting animal welfare.

ACRES has six focus areas: Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation, Wildlife Crime Investigation, Zoo Animal Welfare, Humane Education, Community Outreach and Promoting Cruelty-Free Living.
