I HAVE LIVED MY WHOLE LIFE ON THE STREETS

I was desperately struggling when found by a kind man. I was wandering the streets with a very deep wound on one of my legs. Unable to put any weight on the leg, I limped along in search of something to eat. I was tired and weak. My name is Leonex; I am an old boy of 10 now.

With no human to care for me, I�ve had to get by alone all my life. I managed okay, millions of us do every day, but when we are sick or we injure ourselves, we only have one hope � you. Thanks to people just like you, when the kind man who found me called Soi Dog, they were able to help me. I am at the shelter now and the doctors are taking care of me.

The wound on my leg was chronically infected and the doctors say I am also suffering from something called hip dysplasia. Life has not been kind, but I am now getting the help I need. So many others are not so lucky.
