My name is Emi and my story is unimaginable to some. I was just one week old when I was torn away from my mum, thrown into a carrier bag and dumped on a beach in Phuket, Thailand. What did I do to deserve this barbaric act of cruelty?

A passerby saw the plastic bag moving, and when they found me inside, I was rushed to the Soi Dog shelter for help. Without the kind donations from people like you, I would never have made it. From this point onwards, I have lived my days at the shelter, but what I am yearning for most, is a home of my own. Will you be the one to fulfill my dreams? I am now 2 years and 5 months old and am a friendly, affectionate girl. I have an enthusiastic personality but am looking for someone with patience to adopt me. I can hesitate when it comes to meeting new people, but once I know you are not here to hurt me, I love nothing more than sitting on your lap and smothering you in kisses � just ask the people here, they will tell you!

I am inquisitive and intelligent, and have been told I would do well in training activities! I jump up with excitement when the volunteers I know come to visit me, and then I eagerly wait to go out for my walk. A loving family where I can get lots of attention and the exercise I need would be great for me, but please remember that I have only ever known my life living here at the shelter. All the new sights and smells in a new place may overwhelm me at first, so I need to take things at my own pace.

With volunteers coming here from all over the world, I have heard great things about the USA, UK, Canada and Europe. With a generous donation already made towards my flight costs, I would happily join you there if you can find it in your heart to adopt me.
