We were happy and honoured to be a part of the 8th Animal Awareness Day @ University Malaya on 11th October, 2016!
“Issues on street animals have been plaguing our society. The urgency to improve the animals well-being should not be compromised. Animal Awareness Day (AAD), the non-profit and twice a year charitable event, was initiated since 2013 by the Department of Parasitology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya. AAD, one of the academics activities, serves as a platform for academics to not only strive to be the best in academia but also to be in the fore-front in social responsibility activities. AAD is the first of its kind that has been organized at the level of higher learning institutions in Malaysia. AAD aims to spread the awareness of kindness to animals far and wide. Through this campus activity, we hope to encourage students to take part in this social engagement, to recognize animal welfare and any individual of his/her perseverance and commitment toward the betterment of street animals well-being and to raise funds for medical assistance to selected organizations.”
