CHIPPY AND YOKO GET THEIR FREEDOM!
Chippy and Yoko, two native long-tailed macaques whose behaviour had been altered due to feeding by members of public, have been released back into the wild! This follows a period of rehabilitation to enable them to survive back in their natural habitat.
Chippy and Yoko ran away so fast that our cameras struggled to catch them. However, they ran away together and were spotted up in the trees side by side!
With the release of this video, we urge everyone to spread the message that feeding wild animals alters their behaviour, leading to increased human-wildlife conflict situations.
Let us all appreciate wild animals from a distance. Lets not feed them, and let them live out their lives in the wild, where they belong.
