My Name Is Eros. Please ADOPT Me!

VERY SPECIAL FLOOFER LOOKING FOR HIS FOREVER HOME. Please ADOPT me!

Please EMAIL all questions to inga@soidog-foundation.org (English/German)

I am a sweet boy called Eros and I am around 6 years old. I am a poodle type dog and only weigh 5.5 kg. I was found at a temple with a bad limp. Luckily for me the Soi Dog Rescue Officers saw that I needed help and brought me to the Soi Dog shelter here in Phuket, Thailand.

The doctors here suspect that I was hit by a car. This traumatic accident dislocated the highest part of my thigh bone and caused me so much pain. I received physiotherapy for my leg and a miracle happened: I could use my affected leg. Just when I thought I was on the mend I started to have blood in my pee. I have been treated with several courses of antibiotics and drugs to improve the emptying of my bladder and the doctors here did a lot of tests to determine the best medication. This has led to resolution of the blood in my urine, but from time to time I will still urinate blood. The doctors say that I will probably always be prone to intermittent urinary tract infections. They believe that this is due to the injury I originally sustained which affected the nervous innervation to the bladder.

I hope to find a human who is happy to look after a special dog like me. I will give you all my unconditional love in return. I am very friendly character and the people here say that I look incredibly cute. I love nothing more than people spending time with me and getting my curly coat brushed. I also like to lie close to you and look at you with my big brown button eyes while getting petted. I do get along with the other dogs in my enclosure but to be perfectly honest I don’t need them around. I would prefer to have a family on my own.

My hind legs don’t move as smooth as they used to do, due to the sustained injuries from the car accident. But I love my walkies with the volunteers and walk well on the lead. So if you are looking for a companion who is happy with shorter strolls and spending the afternoon in cafes and on picnic blankets instead of running and hiking, I am the one for you.

So many other dogs have found homes in places like Canada, Europe and the U.S.and I heard great things about these places. Please adopt a special boy like me!
