100 CATS CAN’T TAKE THE COLD OF COMING WINTER

In a quiet village on a street dotted in antique, white cottages, one home is more “alive” than all the rest. You see, there are more than 100 cats at the residentially-based Felix Cat Shelter in the Vojvodina region of Serbia. Only problem is, the cats’ caretaker Danica suffered a stroke and is no longer able to care for them.

From 125 miles away (200 kilometers), Jasna Lazic has made the bold move to take over the role of playing nanny to all these cats. And she’s quickly realizing what a huge financial commitment it is.

“Danica�s stroke and her unsuccessful attempt to recover, have caught everyone by surprise,” Jasna explains. “Our monthly expenses are huge. Will do everything I can to keep the shelter going. It won�t be easy.”

“Most of the shelter cats are unadoptable due to their age, health or behavioral issues,” Jasna continues. “If they can�t stay here, they really don�t have anywhere to go.”

The Harmony Fund recently sent a large donation to help with food and we’ll soon need some help to purchase a delivery of fuel to heat the cottage for the first half of winter.

“I want you to know we�re simply overwhelmed with gratitude for your support,” Jasna said. “If I said thank you a million times over, it wouldn�t be enough!”
