RESCUERS AND MAMA CAT SAVE KITTENS FROM DUMPSTER

None of us understand how people can be cruel enough to abandon a litter of newborn kittens, but what’s more important is what comes next. Second chances, after all, are our specialty.

When passers-by discovered a bag of kittens on the ground, they were shocked. But just at the right time, before they began to hurry off to find help, a hungry cry came from inside the nearby dumpster. This lone kitten had been thrown away separately from the others. (The dumpster was checked thoroughly)

All were brought to Edina Pasic who is saving lives hand-over-fist. We at Harmony Fund sponsor Edina’s rescue work in Bosnia every month and were prepared to help her with kitten milk and all necessary veterinary care for these kittens. But, it turns out, we didn’t need to buy formula after all. A newly rescued mother cat has accepted the kittens who have joined her own litter of three. All are eating and sleeping very well.
