SPCA Seberang Perai was formed in year 2005 by a group of animal lovers, led by Madam Tan Kah Chuah, a 68 years old woman with great passion for animals. From a shelter with less than 100 dogs & cats, SPCA Seberang Perai has now increased to sheltering more than 900 animals over the years. Its a huge burden and no easy task for us to continue removing dogs from the local pound and taking in abandoned and unwanted animals but still we do so, for the sake of the animals.

We receive no funding from the government and have all this while been depending on the Public for donations. With the recent move to our new shelter and an increase number of sick animals rescued, it meant we need more funding. With the lack of funding we receive, we have no other choice but to tentatively stop our Phase 2 constructions as we have since exhausted all our funds.

The shelter needs approximately RM20, 000.00 per month to sustain which include food and basic medications for the animals, salaries for the workers and shelters utilities.

We are currently in desperate need of financial aid!

SPCA Seberang Perai hopes to have the Publics support in helping us overcome this crisis period. For those who would like to donate to SPCA Seberang Perai, you may find our account details as below:

SPCA Seberang Perai

The SPCA Seberang Perai is a society registered in September 2005. Our primary aim is to reduce the population of stray animals or possibly a zero stray population in a humane manner. With lesser strays or no strays at all, the loving value of animals will be greatly increased and you can be sure that humans will shower more love for their pets and be responsible pet owners. The problem should not only be shouldered by our Society as the public must also understand the urgent need to control the pet population and give their whole-hearted support to all our projects for the undertaking to be successful. Then we will achieve a clean and hygienic environment for the community. As a no killing organization, we are embarking on a two-prong approach towards the problem i.e public education and sterilization of the stray animals.
