Norica Prigoana lives in a small apartment where several cats and dogs gather in the kitchen for breakfast. The day begins early because Norica has to go to work at the public dog pound in Gherla where she is the only one who will be sure the dogs get a chance to eat each day. She cleans the kennels and gives each soul a hug, apologizing that she can�t take them home with her.

Norica�s own shelter, known as �The Magic Land� is a refuge for hundreds of dogs each year, many of whom find homes abroad. Norica works 14 hour days without earning a single penny. Yet on the days we�re able to help with dog food and medicines, you�d think she won the lottery. She is indeed rich in ways that can�t be measured in any form of paper currency.

This week we have been absolutely BOMBARDED with requests to help. Underdog rescue teams in Romania, Bosnia, Serbia, Turkey, Macedonia, Greece, Spain, Ecuador, Zimbabwe and Armenia are absolutely pleading for our help. We�re doing our best but we are a rather small charity and we NEED YOUR HELP. We weren’t able to send Norica all the money she needs and the others are waiting on us.
