CAT RESCUED FROM TREE

We were notified by members of the public yesterday about a cat that was on a tree at Ho Ching Road and that the cat had been on the tree overnight. Seeing that it required some assistance with getting down from the tree, our animal rescue officer, Daniel, with the help of a long cast bar assisted the cat safely and carefully onto the ground.

Daniel checked on the cat after the rescue mission and after feeding it, the tipped ear community cat was released at the premises.

Should you come across any animal that is injured, sick or distressed, you can help in the following ways :

1) Call us as soon as possible on our 24 hour hotline 6287 5355

ext 9 (do note that our Facebook account and emails are not manned 24/7) and provide details such as :

- the condition of the animal

- the address of the location where the animal was sighted

- your name and

- your contact number.

We will despatch our animal rescue officer to your location as soon as possible.

2. Help by bringing the animal to a safer location (e.g. away from traffic, off a crowded area) and confine it (in a box or carrier etc).

3. If you are unable to do so, try to stay or keep an eye out for the animal until our officers arrival as many times when our officer is onsite, the animal is nowhere to be found.

As such, your assistance with confining the animal and/or keeping an eye out for the animal is critical in helping us rescue them.

We thank the members of the public who called in to inform us of the cat and for keeping an eye out on the cat until our officers arrival. Everyone helped in rescuing the cat.
