Ordinary Post Is Faster Than Pos Ekspres

This whole week, applicants have been asking whether we have received their mails. And the saddest part is they posted using Pos Ekspres (which, by virtue of its name, ought to be at least “fast”).

And for the whole week, I have been going to our collection point twice a day to check for mails. Those mails posted last week did not arrive….

…until today.

The avalanche came pouring in today.

Some of the Pos Ekspres mails were posted on 10th August 2016, so it took NINE days to arrive (and yet, according to the tracking at pos.com.my, it supposedly arrived on 16th August 2016 and before).

Ironically, the ones posted by ordinary mail only took three days to arrive, so ordinary mail is faster than Pos Ekspres now!

If you would like to use ordinary mail to post your applications from now onwards, please put 80 sen stamps (not 60 sen). Previously, the 60 sen mails were delayed and arrived later with the “TAX” stamped on it for being overweight. Once overweight, it will be delayed or it might not even arrive. So, to play it safe, please put 80 sen stamps.
