When Coconut was found, both her eyes were protruding from her head to such an extent that she could not close her eyelids. They were severely infected, with rotting tissue surrounding them.

It was sadly too late to save Coconut’s eyes and they had to be removed immediately to end the agony she was clearly in. She went on to spend four months at our shelter before being adopted to the US when a wonderful lady named Louisa fell in love with her.
