Tigers Epilepsy

It happened again just now, at about 6.30pm. Another fit.

I was eating in the kitchen, but I thought I should go check on him, so I did and saw it all.

Tiger came out from the vegetable pots and walked on the grass. Then he stopped, twisted to his back to bite an itchy spot. I was already following him and I called him several times to try and stop the biting. Then, he threw a fit and flipped on his back.

I wouldn’t say it was very intense and it lasted for about 5 seconds again as I stood and watched helplessly. There is actually nothing much we can do when it happens except to prevent him from falling or injuring himself. Tiger was on the grass, so there was no danger of falling down.

After that, he was okay, but I carried him and noticed he was panting. Heavy breathing for awhile. I’ve started using virgin coconut oil on his ears to try and address the itching. He has scratched his ears so much that both ears are already bald and there are bleed spots too.

Here’s Tiger after the episode just now. I saw him hissing at Bunny too. Bunny is just trying to be supportive, I’m sure.

Back to his vegetable pots, with Cow nearby.

I don’t know how many episodes I’ve already missed when I wasn’t around to monitor him, or I could have just stepped out of the room for a few minutes and it could have happened. I guess a better yardstick then would be to monitor the duration and intensity of each episode (that I witness) since frequency (how many days’ interval) is not reliable.
