IVE NEVER HAD A PLACE TO CALL HOME – Please ADOPT me!
A kind person who fell in love with me but couldnt adopt me, has donated funds towards my flight costs!
Please EMAIL ALL QUESTIONS to inga@soidog-foundation.org (English/German)
Ive never had a place to call home. No human has ever loved me because Ive lived on the streets my whole life. I am a boy called Dave and I am blind.
Life on the streets has been tough and the daily struggle to survive has taken its toll. I am just over 4 years old but I look older than my actual age. When I arrived at the shelter I had wounds on my leg and chest and was infested with ticks and fleas. Thanks to supporters like you, I received the treatment I needed and made a full recovery.
I live now in the Old Dog Enclosure, the quietest area here in the shelter in Phuket, Thailand. I usually spend my day lying in one particular spot in the enclosure, with my back to the wall, so I can make sure I am not in the other dogs way, as I am a mellow character who doesnt want any trouble.
The best part of my day is when a volunteer notices me and takes time to sit next to me and stroke me. They say that I am very handsome with my thick coat and that I feel very fluffy. They also comment on the fact that I have only one white paw and say that it makes me look very cute and special.
Sadly the volunteers always leave too soon, moving on to other dogs who crave attention, as there are so many of us here in the shelter.
I would love nothing more than to experience family life in a calm home where I am loved. I am gentle and kind and do not want to wrestle and compete with energetic dogs for your attention. I wouldnt mind another mellow dog though, who would just let me be.
Maybe you have experience of looking after a blind dog like me? Maybe you just have a lot of love to give and the time to help me adjust to life outside the shelter? Either way, I would love to hear from you. I hope to meet you soon. I will be waiting.
