My name is Detour and I am a handsome, calm, proud boy who is 4 years old. I have been at the Soi Dog shelter in Thailand for over a year now, waiting for a special family to choose me for adoption. Could that be you?

I get on well with all the other dogs as I am very social. Sometimes I can be a little nervous, or quiet and withdrawn in new situations, especially when I first meet people. This is not surprising as my experience of humans early in my life was not positive.

If you are patient with me and take the time to make me feel safe, I will get to know you and become affectionate and loving.

My favourite thing is being taken for a walk and I will rest my head against your thigh for comfort and reassurance while we walk. I dream of finding a family that I can belong to and a home where I can feel safe. I have so much love to give! Please ADOPT ME!
