CISCO SYSTEMS LENT US A HELPING HAND AT OUR SANCTUARY!

Promoting volunteerism is a key part of our efforts to truly engage people of all ages and get them directly involved with animal protection.

On the 8th of June, a team of passionate individuals from CISCO Systems visited the ACRES Wildlife Rescue Centre (AWRC) to learn more about our work, and also get involved with some essential maintenance and gardening work at our Main Sanctuary Area.

The weather was wet and gloomy, but this didn�t stop our cheery helpers from getting their hands dirty to help us plant some sorrel plants, which the rescued tortoises will enjoy eating. The team also helped us to prune many existing plants in the Sanctuary grounds, to improve the health of the plants and also give the place a good tidy up!
