A Visit From Leopard Cat

There are two leopard cats (bengal cats, I think) in our neighbourhood. I see them lounging at the playground every morning after the human walkers and joggers have left the place. I usually do my exercise when the playground is peaceful and quiet, and this is when the two leopard cats will be at the playground too.

Some weeks back, one of the leopard cats came into our porch. Ginger chased him out.

Nowadays, in some evenings, both the leopard cats will come and sit opposite our gate, looking into our porch. I think they want to join our PatioCats.

They look exactly like mini leopards – the markings, the body structure and everything else.

This morning, one of the leopard cats came again.

Our soldier, Vincent, is back on active duty.

This is the leopard cat, under the car, right outside our house.

Ginger was on guard too, but since Vincent was doing sentry duty, Ginger seems to be taking it easy this round.

Heidi is helping to keep an eye on the intruder.

I’ve seen both of them up close. They have blue eyes and are very friendly.

They come from a house down the road.

Leopard Cat makes his move and tries to come towards the gate. Vincent is on full vigilance.

Look at that sleek and slender body! If that’s not a mini leopard, tell me, what is?

Vincent dashes out, as quick as a flash and gives chase. Leopard Cat runs down the road.

Ginger helps.

After that and for the rest of the morning, Ginger is on full alert.

Vincent didn’t come back until just now. He must have been busy keeping Leopard Cat at bay.

And that’s all in a day’s work for the cats, for today!
