Updates from Beng Kai below. Beng Kai is adopting Putih and has renamed him Wangzhi, which means Prince in Mandarin.
Hi Dr Chan Wangzhi is doing fine when I visited him just now. I can see him eating soft food which is a good sign. As mentioned vis SMS, I can now managed Wangzhi medical expenses with the help from my friend's sponsorship. Also I would like to apologised if I had cause any inconvenience to you for asking for medical funds subsidy earlier and now I dont need it anymore. From the pictures you can see Wangzhi is doing fine & he is eating. One picture you will noticed the wire jutting out from Wangzhi chin and there are some food at the end of the wire. The vet informed me the top left canine teeth is half broken. Also Wangzhi had a cut inside the mouth which the vet had stitched up. He informed me Wangzhi mouth (jaw) will be slightly crooked too. Thank you again and you are a very very kind hearted person. Someone who really care about animal welfare. Shall get in touch with you should I need any further advice later on. Also shall keep you posted about Wangzhi well being from time to time. Cheers Khoo
It is a most welcomed and refreshing change to be acquainted with Khoo Beng Kai, a first-time rescuer, who is so honest and doesn't use the but-I-have-no-money-and-this-is-not-even-my-cat tagline.
Putih is NOT Beng Kai's cat, but his neighbour's. After Putih met with the accident, it was Beng Kai who sent Putih to the vet's. The neighbour wanted Putih euthanised, but Beng Kai said no. He offered to adopt Putih.
Beng Kai wrote to me and PetFinder.my to apply for financial aid, but at the same time, he also raised funds on his own. Now that he has a friend to share the bill, he has written to me and PetFinder to inform us that he doesn't need our financial assistance anymore.
Khoo Beng Kai is a breath of fresh air....and I salute him for what he is doing for Putih (Wangzhi) and his honesty and resourcefulness.
We hope Beng Kai will update us on Wangzhi's wellbeing as we want to be inspired by his noble and selfless deed.
Get well soon, Wangzhi.
We thank the vet for looking after Wangzhi.
