Cheang called a few hours ago, saying she suspects something was not quite right with Mickey as he had not urinated at all and seemed very quiet. She also said Mickey felt very hot to the touch, possibly having a fever.
I told Cheang to take Mickey immediately to the vet in PJ which has an emergency call-back for a check-up. All our panel vets are already closed.
While Mickey was there, the vet communicated with our vet on Mickey's history.
Here's the differential diagnosis:
1. Another part of the bladder may have ruptured now. Mickey pee-d while he was at the vet's tonight, so it is not the part that has healed but another part.
2. The septicaemia caused by the left-over urine inside the body may be causing the fever now. Mickey's temperature tonight is more than 40 degrees so he IS running a fever. The vet noticed a patch of skin which looked swollen and wanted to remove this skin tonight itself, but she could not contact her senior vet, so she suggested the procedure be done tomorrow after consultation with the senior vet.
Cheang has boarded Mickey at the clinic for tonight.
Looks like our celebration has been short-lived and we'll need everyone's prayers for Mickey again.
